Sports Premium Allocation, Use and Impact

Sports Premium Funding has been given to schools by the government to develop or add to the PE and sports activities that we provide at Chad Vale and make improvements now that will benefit pupils joining the school in the future.

Over the past 3 years, we have worked hard to increase the range and participation in a range of sports, both within the school curriculum and beyond. The funding has been used effectively to:

Promote the School Games values as essential life skills
Create a growing awareness of healthy and active lifestyles
Provide high quality PE lessons through the employment of a specialist PE teacher
Develop the after-school sports provision and increase uptake of sports clubs
Develop weekly inter-school competitive house sports tournaments
Increase out-of-school competitive sports with local school sports partnerships and coaching facilities
Develop a programme for our Gifted and Talented pupils and elite athletes
Develop a programme of support for our SEND pupils to assist them to access the PE curriculum
Gain the School Games Award annually between 2015-2023
Develop a programme for sports leadership amongst pupils
Develop a young play leaders programme
