Provision in our Nurture Group

The Nurture Group (NG) at Chad Vale Primary School is specially designed to support small groups of children who require support to develop their self-esteem, which will enhance the children's experiences when back in the main classroom environment. Our NG is run by an experienced teacher, who is also our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) and a dedicated teaching assistant.  The Nurture Group helps the children explore and verbalise their feelings, develop group work and individual learning skills, build up confidence and experience a range of different learning styles.  So far this year, they have visited the MAC Theatre to watch 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt', have had additional PE lessons with specialist gymnastic coaching, amongst many other things!
